In the year of Chopin, at the 40th ECLSO in Warsaw, special attention was dedicated to silicone hydrogel lenses and their application across all age groups, from children to presbyopes. Furthermore, there were discussions regarding the development and modifications of this material, as well as the new generations of “custom-made” contact lenses that optimize safety, comfort, and vision quality. Course 5 – Soft contact lenses for astigmatism – Valentina DIMITRIJEVIC, Belgrade (SERBIA) – Graeme YOUNG, Farnham (UNITED KINGDOM). Course 4 – Therapeutic contact lenses – Ljiljana KOVAC, Belgrade (SERBIA) – Adriana STANILA, Sibiu (ROMANIA).
