III Symposium on Contactology with International Participation

On May 23, 2014, the 3rd Symposium on Contactology with International Participation—”Modern Approaches to Contact Lenses”—was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade. The meeting was opened by the President of the Contact Lens Specialists Society of Serbia (COLSS), Prim. Mag. Dr. Valentina Dimitrijević Milovanović. The program consisted of 13 highly specialized lectures in the field of contactology, presented by eminent ophthalmologists and contactologists from our country, as well as two guest speakers from the European Contact Lens Society of Ophthalmologists (ECLSO).

The lectures, divided into three sessions, covered topics in pediatric contactology, innovations in soft contact lenses and potential complications, as well as the indications and possibilities of RGP contact lenses in modern contactology.

During the Symposium, a humanitarian drive was organized to help flood victims. The collected contributions were donated to the account of the Red Cross of Serbia.
