European Contact Lens and Ocular Surface Congress (ECLSO) held its 51st congress in Vienna on April 24th and 25th, 2026. The congress program was focused on the most important contemporary topics, including astigmatism, keratoconus, myopia control, dry eye syndrome, new soft contact lens technologies, and the application of artificial intelligence in fitting. With the aim of developing and popularizing contactology among young doctors, COLSS funded the registration fee, accommodation, and travel expenses for young colleagues. COLSS Annual Assembly 2026
March 13, 2026.
Annual Assembly of the Society of Ophthalmologists Contact Lens Specialists of Serbia (COLSS) was held on March 13, 2026 in Belgrade.
At the Assembly, amendments to the Statute were unanimously adopted, with the aim of aligning with contemporary standards. Through a better definition of the Society’s work, the field of ocular surface was also included, and membership was enabled for doctors undergoing specialization in ophthalmology.

Special guest lecturers were Dr. René Mély, President of the European Contact Lens Society of Ophthalmologists (ECLSO), and Prof. Dr. Christina Grupcheva.
42nd ECLSO Congress, Nice

42nd ECLSO Nice 2012. The 42nd ECLSO Congress was held in Nice from September 14 to 16, 2012, attended by 350 ophthalmologists from all over the world and 15 ophthalmologists from Serbia, members of our association. Eminent lecturers spoke about Keratoconus and treatment options, new types of contact lenses, and the treatment of the anterior segment.

In the beautiful city on the Bosphorus, along with exceptional lectures by contactologists from Europe, the USA, and Brazil, the congress was made special by “Live Fitting” courses, which were organized in this manner for the first time

At the Congress, the safe wearing of contact lenses in children was promoted. A symposium dedicated to this topic was organized, in which Dr. Suvajac and Dr. Milutinović actively participated with an oral presentation on the topic: Myopia and juvenile glaucoma.
